JEM Technical was founded in 1984 at the kitchen table of John and Sheryl Menge. The company began as a manufacturers' representative, marketing fluid power products in the Upper Midwest, with an emphasis on hydraulic valves. In 1986, JEM moved into distributing fluid power products as well as adding several instrumentation lines. With the additional lines and the need for more warehouse space, JEM Technical moved to its current location in Long Lake, Minnesota. At the same time the company saw another expansion toward design and manufacturing of custom valves and valve packages. JEM moved into the manufacturing sector in 1995 and currently provides the Midwest with quality valve packages.

Since 1984, JEM Technical has earned a solid reputation and gained recognition in the Midwest as a quality distributor and manufacturer of custom engineered valves and manifolds. Our facility features 13,000 square feet dedicated to state-of-the-art machinery and quality assembly meeting ISO 9001 requirements. We are proud of our ISO certification achieved in October 2003 and are continually committed to high quality standards. Today our mission is to manufacture and distribute fluid power products, custom valves, valve packages and controls that fully meet customers' needs and expectations at a reasonable price. This is practiced throughout the organization and continues to fuel our growth in many new and exciting ways.
